Description

Felci 65 – Exterior

Felci 65 – Interior

We started off with a white sheet of paper, so we could really develop something special, which could bring technologically and aesthetically innovative elements to the cruiser racer’s world.

First of all, the new project starts from solid hydrodynamic bases, thanks to the deep CFD researches aimed at determining which of the seven candidate canoe body was the one that offered, for a given displacement, the best compromise between resistance and form stability.

Since it is a typical dual purpose yacht, its hull requires both of these peculiarities in order to offer great sailing and by engine performances and to associate them with a comfortable navigation motion that allows a way of living typical of a yacht of this size.

The hull is obviously very streamlined, thanks to its low free board and its reduced displacement.

The hull is extremely powerful, featuring cup shaped sections, which offer great stability form and power at high heeling angles and at the meantime reduced wave resistance at lower angles.

We are talking about a 20-meter yacht weighing only 18.5 tons, thanks to a state-of-the-art construction, to interior furniture built entirely of lightweight material and thanks to a lifting keel that will allow the torpedo to be lowered to 4.4 meters down.

The deck equipment is of the highest quality and is ideal for both offshore racing and short handled crews.

Functional setting choices have led the design of the deck lay out, always seeking innovative solutions at the realization level, stretching to the best ergonomics and using the best components.

From the aesthetic point of view, many are the signs that characterize this new fast cruiser, both in the freeboards and in the superstructures.

The fixed bowsprit faired with the reverse bow, the “chamfer” very accentuated in the bow area, and the shapes of the coachroof, offer s great dynamism and movement to the design, characterizing it formally and offering aerodynamic benefits.

Although opting for a flash deck deck configuration, the choice of special and innovative low coachroof windows offer remarkable interior brightness, developed on an almost complete separation between the aft area, dedicated to the galley and the captain cabin, and the forward area , dedicated to the owner and guests.

The mast, boom and bowsprit will be in high modulus carbon, the rigging will also be in carbon and the lifting keel will be made of high performance stainless steel and numerically controlled milling, as well as the blade and the rudder stock that will be realized In high modulus carbon.
