All of these solutions have been studied in order to have a performance boat with no compromises, keeping the weight under constant control using also new lighter composite materials for the furniture and flooring and GRP for the construction of the main bulkheads. In this way individual owners can decide what suits him best..
Grand Soleil 58: performance rhymes with relax
The hull has been studied not only for sailing but also for comfort. The large stern provides a big tender garage with storage area, behind 2 wide aft cabins with plenty of headroom and are not interrupted by the dinghy or intruding cockpit forms. Both cabins can provide 2 separate beds or one king size bed. Each stern cabin has its own comfortable head. The VIP head is also used as a day head with a stall shower.
The enormous dinette offers a classic layout, with an L-shaped kitchen. Thanks to its generous dimensions, the dinette has several storage spaces and can be fitted with an extra fridge, freezer, wine cellar, ice maker, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and other optional extras.
The owner’s cabin is offered with 2 layouts as well; a classic center bed or a side bed. Both solutions present a spacious and comfortable cabin with large closets, a vanity desk, many lockers and queen size beds.
The large sail locker can be transformed by request into a crew cabin with a sink, shower and head. Further ahead the anchor chain locker with windlass and a carbon bowsprit for those who like to sail with asymmetric/code 0. The windows and many hatches provide an open space feeling having natural air and light. The large hull windows are the right height to connect with the outside also when seated. The flush deck hatches and the sun deck side port lights bring fresh air circulation from bow to stern.
Grand Soleil 58: space anywhere for every need
During the design process, the plans were also studied carefully to allow for ease of maintenance as well as the possibility to upgrade systems. The engine room can fit different sizes and suppliers as well as the generator bay. It is possible to install a water maker, air conditioning system, heating system, extra fuel and water tanks, black water in each cabin, TV, bow/stern thruster and more.
The word “space” is well suited to the numerous storage areas available. On the sleek and clean deck there are different sunbathing areas and a large cockpit that can accommodate several people in total comfort.
