The latest addition to the Harken family, a new type of anti-slip tape for the boat deck (and more).
Why new? What distinguishes it from all other products on the market? First of all, it is not abrasive and furthermore it is not made of foam that could absorb water.
Marine Grip is therefore different from the normal anti-slip belts that we are used to see on boats, it was developed by surfers in Hawaii to ensure a great seal while not being abrasive: it does not leave marks on the skin or clothes.
It is available in white, black, gray or translucent versions and in 2″, 3″, 6″ inch sizes – about 5, 7 and 15 cm – either as a traditional ribbon or in hexagons (15 cm). In this case, with a honeycomb distribution, it can cover very large areas. For stores and authorized retailers it is available in rolls of 18 meters (with widths that, in this case, can reach 12, 18 and 32 inches).
It is extremely easy to apply, there is no need for glue or stickers. Just make sure the surface is clean. To achieve this, just use any alcohol-based solvent. Then, in a very simple way, just remove the back film and then apply Marine Grip on the blanket. It offers, from the very beginning, an excellent seal both dry and wet.
To remove it just use a plastic scraper, lift a flap and then pull. The thin layer of rubber that remains can be easily removed with a normal adhesive solvent.
The translucent version is ideal to be applied where there are inscriptions or on the transparent surfaces of osterigi and passers-by.
It does not absorb water at all and you can easily use any product normally used for cleaning the blanket.
It should also be noted that Marine Grip, even in the black version, overheats much less than the blanket, even on a day with sun and temperature at 30 ° C, walking on it barefoot is no problem.
Summing up: Marine Grip does not become hot in the sun, it does not oxidize, it does not break into small pieces when you want to take it off, it does not absorb water, it does not abrade your skin or clothes.
