Description

Swan 68 – Explotadot

In 2000 this yacht was sold to its second owner and transferred to the Baltic Sea under the name “Cygnus Montanus,” in 2004, her third owner moved her to southern Italy under the name “Cardillo Forever” and performed the first major refit in 2006/2007 where many systems were upgraded and a new maneuvering propeller was installed. In 2013 the boat was sold to its current owner and spent most of 2014 undergoing a complete refit in Genoa, and in 2019 it underwent a new refit to be ready to cross the Atlantic and Pacific. Today Explotadot is located in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

Built in 24 examples between the 1991 and the 2004, the Swan 68 designed by Germán Frers is among the most successful yachts produced by the Finnish Nautor’s Swan shipyard. Solleone, this is the original name of Explotadot, was built in 1993 for the shipyard’s president and was the first Swan 68 to have four guest cabins with a galley layout forward.

EXTERIOR

INTERIOR

All visible parts of the interior are teak with a satin finish, and the floors are made of laid teak veneer, allowing quick access to the bilge. Lighting is LED throughout the yacht, with red night lights and reading lamp for each berth. The configuration with the galley forward allows this yacht to have more separation between guests and crew, which has a dedicated cabin forward with a wooden berth and a second pullman berth, toilet, shower and sink.

There are as many as three guest cabins in this boat: two of them have a fixed berth and a pullman berth, vacuum toilet, mirrors, lockers and shower, while the third has a fixed double berth, a pullman berth, desk and full bathroom. The aft master stateroom has a large central double bed, desk, sofa, large hanging lockers, and bathroom with white Corian surfaces, mirrors, heated towel rack, vacuflush toilet, Perspex shower door (separate) with teak grating.

The living room houses two L-shaped sofas, the dining table, a coffee table and cabinets, while the kitchen is equipped with Ocean Chef 3 stove-top unit, microwave oven, hood, dishwasher, refrigerator and double freezer. Also on board is a Candy washer-dryer.
