Swan 70 – Flying Dragon

Flying Dragon is a Swan 70 produced in 2002, the year she triumphed in the Swan Cup under her former name, “Fastnet,” which is still superbly preserved today thanks in part to the massive refit she underwent in 2019. Work included polishing the hull and cockpit, overhauling all sails and mast, installing a new Quantum A2 Gennaker, bimini, splash guards, and plotter. The fuel tanks were also cleaned and the TV was replaced.

This bluewater cruiser combines the thrills of high-performance cruising with the comfort and safety essential for worry-free sailing. The Swan 70 is yet another masterpiece from the pencil of Germán Frers and his studio and is a yacht characterized by modern lines and state-of-the-art technology. Flying Dragon is one of 7 examples produced between 2001 and 2005 and can be seen in Genoa.

INTERIOR

All visible teak in the interior is hand-polished teak veneer, while sofa, seat and seat covers are leather. The forward master stateroom, with double bed, desk with mirror chair, also houses book shelves, drawers under the sofa and berth, and a 70-cm-wide sofa. Also in the stern are two more guest cabins with double beds, while in the middle is a cabin with two bunk beds and the crew cabin with two single bunks. There are three bathrooms on board, with, freshwater flush toilets connected to tanks, mirrors, lockers and teak shower grates.

The salon is furnished with an L-shaped sofa on the port side with storage underneath, teak table with seating for eight and a second sofa on the starboard side, cup and bottle holders on the bow. The kitchen has countertops in Corian Everest, 2 stainless steel sinks, trash receptacle, 200-liter front-loading refrigerator, 200-liter top-loading freezer, fume hood, four-burner gas stove with oven, drawers and cabinets, space for the stowage Under the floorboards.
