Swan 48 Stella Maris I

Description

Swan 48 – Stella Maris I

Stella Maris I, a specimen visible in the Ligurian port of Alassio, is a Swan 48 that recently turned 24 years old but wears them well. Between the 2015 and the 2017 underwent renovations such as a new Lewmar Concept electric windlass, mast overhaul, installation of a new compressor, and two new sprayhoods above the entrance hatch and above the forward cockpit; the tender was also purchased new in 2017.

After the enormous success of the first generation Swan 48 designed by Sparkman & Stephens in 1971, which immediately became an icon of the yard by selling 46 examples, Nautor’s Swan decided to entrust the second generation of the Swan 48 to the firm of Argentine architect Germán Frers. This new version sold 57 units while retaining its high-performance family cruiser soul.

EXTERIOR

INTERIOR

The three-cabin configuration of the Stella Maris I is in keeping with the family cruising yacht soul that distinguishes the Swan 48. The two forward cabins are double, with hanging berths, hanging lockers, small shelves, and two drawers under the lower berth. In the aft master cabin we find a central double bed, a desk, shelves and storage lockers; in the salon of the Stella Maris I, on the other hand, we find a teak table with bottle holder, double sofa including an L-shaped one and a double seat, lockers, bookcase and tool drawers.
