Open spaces, distant horizons, pristine islands: the Swan 54 is a bluewater cruiser. Designed by Germán Frers, the moderate freeboard and deep-V hull, also available with a lifting keel and twin rudders, ensure smooth sailing even in rough seas. The deck plan was carefully designed with all sail controls next to the twin rudders, allowing the Swan 54 to sail easily even with a small crew. Spacious, well-used spaces below deck, handcrafted by Nautor’s Finnish artisans-perfect for extended stays aboard.

The Swan 54 has attention to every detail and stands out among other boats for its design and the inherent quality of its construction. It is a sailing yacht, defined to accommodate a group of six people to sail in comfort, yet compact enough to be used and maintained by its owners.

Swan 54 – Blanket

The deck layout was developed to meet two basic objectives: to ensure comfortable sailing with a small crew and to provide areas designed to best enjoy life on board. The transom opens fully into a large bathing platform that provides direct access to the sea.

Placement of the bow sheet on the deckhouse, rather than in the cockpit, allows use of the large bimini while sailing. The bimini, together with the sprayhood that is recessed and retractable, provides complete protection from the elements. The four standard electric winches in the cockpit, close to the helmsman, facilitate navigation with a small crew. Generous storage volumes, including the sail locker in the bow and the large garage in the aft area, allow for safe stowage of all equipment, such as the (inflatable) dinghy, fenders and sails, while remaining easily accessible.

Interior

Similar to the deck layout, the interior is designed to ensure maximum comfort for long periods, both under sail and at anchor. This original configuration offers three double cabins, with the master cabin in the bow and two guest cabins, one in the middle and the other in the stern. There is also a fourth cabin dedicated to facilities and storage, including the generator and washing machine, with the possibility of adding a work table so it can be converted into a crew cabin.

A configuration perfectly suited for prolonged sailing and long stays on board. The salon has a three-meter-long “C”-shaped sofa with a central table and two elegant chairs. Opposite, however, is the chart table with a generous navigation station, with plenty of room for electronics. There is also the option of a pop-up table, which allows for additional seating. The three-meter-long galley, one of the largest in this yacht class, offers generous counter and storage space, along with the option of three refrigerators.

Located in the most stable part of the boat and close to the companion area, you can cook comfortably even while sailing. The use of natural oak throughout the boat, combined with the quality finishes and materials for which Swan is known, creates a bright and refined interior.

Navigation

The moderate displacement hull and high-performance lead keel provide the Swan 54 with special stability and fluidity inel passage over the wave. It is fast and powerful in all conditions while offering a full sense of security. In addition, the high ‘aspect ratio’ of the rudder provides absolute control, increasing the pleasure of steering. The contained freeboard and deep-V hull ensure smooth sailing in rough sea conditions and improve stability at anchor or when maneuvering in high winds.

Sailing on the Swan 54 is pure joy: the ergonomics of the cockpit and the organization of the deck equipment are designed to offer the most comfortable and well-protected position at all times, allowing the helmsman to control and execute every maneuver in complete autonomy. If your preferred cruising area has shallow water, the Swan 54 is also available with variable draft (1.40 to 3.70 meters), with an efficient “daggerboard” and twin rudders. Beautiful, fast, comfortable, full of smart features and details to enjoy the sea and the environment, it is a yacht for life, to love and be proud of.

Design: the architect German Frers

“This is the boat that anyone, like me, with a wealth of experience in offshore racing and a taste for blue water cruising with family and friends, or young people who want to have the adventure of their lives, would dream of owning and enjoying in all places in the world, with no limitations of any kind. It is graceful, elegant, and good-looking, the broadside and slips are well-proportioned and give it a timeless appeal. Form and function are in complete harmony. Sailing the Swan 54 is a joy.”
