With the arrival of good weather and the desire to go out boating there is the dilemma, what is the right boat to buy with the aim of making the best daily trips?

Two outboard boats for the summer

We went hunting for clues in our virtual boat show, Milano Yachting Week – The digital boat show and discovered two boats that are right for us. The first clue followed, of course, is that they must be outboard. Then they have to have lots of living space and, to top it off they have to have easy access to the water. Not forgetting, of course, that they must be beautiful and fast.

The surprising result has fallen on two very different boats from two prestigious shipyards, Axopar and Beneteau, which share the characteristics we have just described, plus the possibility of two different choices, with or without cabin?

Axopar 22 Spyder: the sporty boat with which you can do what you want

The brand new Axopar 22 Spyder (7,22 x 2,23 m) is truly an extraordinary boat, which lends itself to any use, a miracle of modularity, in just 7 meters.

For example, on deck you can choose three different layouts to decide what suits you best. There’s so much well-used space in the stern that you’ll find a six-seat U-shaped sofa that also converts into a sunbed.

There’s also an enclosed toilet in the center console area and just to say, an extra-large umbrella/bimini. And then, Axopar 22 Spyder is also the ideal boat for water sports: water skiing, knee boarding, SUP boarding and you name it. See here what you can do for fun

Axopar 22 Spyder reaches 40 knots driven by the motorization of a 175 hp outboard, but even 115 hp are enough to reach speeds above 30 knots.

Beneteau Barracuda 9: this nine-meter is a small yacht

How did Beneteau manage to combine in a single hull Barracuda 9 (9.10 x 2.95m) the three possibilities of use fishing / day trips / cruising?

First of all, it started with the hull, the latest version of the Beneteau Air Step patent, which combines fuel savings, performance and an extremely comfortable passage through the sea. The motorization can reach up to 500 hp with two outboards with large tank capacity (up to 600 liters of fuel).

Then, Beneteau’s technicians have exploited the spaces for the new Barracuda 9 to the maximum, starting from the openable and modular cockpit that can be equipped for big fishing, large stern windows, side and partition doors that lead to a real sheltered salon with an open kitchen and a control cabin.

Below deck there is a large cabin and a bathroom as well as a second cabin with two beds that can also become a storage area. But there are many other smart solutions in this boat, all to be discovered.
