We called it the “Porsche of sailboats” because it perfectly embodies the “premium” yacht philosophy. We are talking about the brand new ICE 54, and it is the evolution of one of the most successful boats in the “premium” sailing yacht segment in recent years, the ICE 52, to which it is the worthy heir.

THE FIRST IMAGES OF ICE 54

Here are the first photos of the boat as it left the shipyard in Salvirola (Cremona) and then to the Marina in Varazze (Savona) where the boat, which we assume will fly the Swiss flag given its registration in Basel (Basel), was put in the water.

One detail out of all: the long dolphin boat integrated into the hull, with the dual function of anchor snout and attachment point for a swashbuckler (obviously missing from the photo is the reinforcing cable that will be rigged on the two eyebolts and will give additional strength to the dolphin boat with Code Zero or asymmetrical “shoreline”).

As Marco Malgara, owner of the construction site at the entrance to the Ice Yachts booth at Milan Yachting Week – the Digital Boat Show, the new 54 is more “cool” and chic than the 52, with much more roominess in the aft guest cabins, greater height below deck, better sailing performance, especially upwind.

TheIce 54 promises to be even before testing, thanks to the water lines of Felci Yachts‘ designers, not only among the highest volume boats in its segment, but also one of the fastest. It is an evolution of the 52 hull that won races such as the Palermo – Monte Carlo and the Middle Sea Race! And on board it had air conditioner, electric winches, etc.
