Milano Yachting Week – the digital boat show opens its doors and we start sailing into it together with you. Today we take you to the discovery of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team pavilion. A multimedia and interactive space where you can find everything, but just everything, what you need to know about the Italian challenge to the America’s Cup, the oldest sports competition in the world.
An exciting adventure for all lovers of the sea.
WHY THE LUNA ROSSA PAVILION IS A MUST-SEE
We tell you a story more than 20 years long, rich in multimedia content, interviews with key men (such as Prada’s Ad Patrizio Bertelli and the skipper Max Sirena), virtual tours of the last flying boat and the discovery of the secrets of the base of Cagliari. But that’s not all: now that Luna Rossa has left for Auckland (as we told you HERE), the pavilion becomes a space in which to live, together with the team, the New Zealand adventure to (hopefully) conquer the America’s Cup. Periodically, the pavilion will be populated with exclusive interviews with the team’s key figures (an example? We’ll tell you HERE), updates, news.
The sports journalist Mino Taveri also stopped by the editorial office to visit us and with him we had fun exploring the pavilion:
The pavilion is divided into several macro-sections. The challenge, that is everything you need to know about the America’s Cup: its history, why it is so coveted, the events of Luna Rossa at the Cup, from 1997 to today, our exclusive interview with Prada Patrizio Bertelli’s owner and CEO, the rules of the AC 75, the new flying boats equipped with foil; discovering the secrets of Luna Rossa, the most “interactive” part of the pavilion, with the three-dimensional rendering of the explorable boat, the virtual tour at the base of Cagliari, the complete team to know;
Challengers for Now, the video webseries of Luna Rossa, a show not to be missed; focus & curiosity, where we have gathered for you many “goodies”: from how the foils work, the appendages that make the Cup boats fly to how the crews of these futuristic boats dress. Don’t you understand well some too technical terms? Don’t worry, there is a glossary at your disposal!
