Is a 12-meter open boat enough for cruising? Maybe a boat born for sporty day trips? Thanks to the evolution of boats, which are increasingly wider and have spaces that were once unthinkable, today even a dinghy or open boat can fulfill the dual function of being an ideal boat for swimming and cruising around the Mediterranean, with almost daily stops certain. But certainly enjoying every moment to the fullest with some autonomy as well.
Cruising with the 12-meter open boat
What’s more, the hulls are now more efficient and, combined with more fuel-efficient engines, allow you to sail long distances without spending a fortune with good range.
And cruising today you don’t just go there with inboard engines, but also with a nice pair of powerful outboards. And don’t think that outboards are less safe than inboards. Even for long sailings.
In cruising better with the dinghy or with a “rigid” one?
At Milan Yachting Week – The digital boat show you will find two excellent examples of what we are telling you at the dock. We are talking about the Sacs Rebel 40 inflatable boat and the open Fjord 38 Xpress.
Two state-of-the-art 12-meter boats found in the Milan Yachting Week powerboat harbor.
