Summer arrives and the desire to go boating returns, dreaming of a day at sea in a beautiful bay. But the right boat counts, and how!
Where do you find them? They are found moored on the sea! They are the boats, i.e. boats not registered in Italy, that you can find at Milano Yachting Week – The Digital Boat Show. In the marina, they are catalogued from A to Z by shipyard name.
To make your choice easier, we have selected three new models of open boats with outboard, from 7 to 9 meters, suitable for any kind of outing.
Barracuda 9: the nine-meter that’s good for three boats
Beneteau has brought together in a single hull the Barracuda 9 (9.10 x 2.95m) three possibilities of use: fishing/day trips/cruising.
First of all, it started with the hull, the latest version of the Beneteau Air Step patent, which combines fuel savings, performance and an extremely comfortable passage at sea. The motorization can reach up to 500 hp with two outboards with large tank capacity (up to 600 liters of fuel).
Then Beneteau’s technicians have exploited the spaces for the new Barracuda 9 to the maximum, starting from the openable and modular cockpit that can be equipped for big fishing, walkways, large aft window, side doors and partitions that lead to a real sheltered salon with an open kitchen and a control cabin.
Below deck there is a large cabin and a bathroom as well as a second cabin with two beds that can also become a storage area. But there are many other smart solutions in this boat, all to be discovered.
Pyxis 30 WA
Here is a boat of the latest generation, it is the Pyxis 30 WA (9.40 x 2.95 m) which is enjoying great success. The reasons for this approval of the public are in the genius of its solutions, in the attractive design and in the solutions on board. Let’s start from the shape of the hull, very elegant thanks to the designers of Akes Design and Carlo Galeazzi, great names made in Italy.
At the stern, the cockpit can accommodate eight people, it is equipped with a rear sofa and two small beaches integrated on the sides of the two outboards, with powers up to 2 x 300 hp (but this combination allows the Pyxis 30 Wa to reach even 50 knots, a nice advantage to reach immediately the bay where to have a wonderful summer bath.
But the Pyxis 30 WA is also a boat for small cruises thanks to the fact that it has two double berths and a separate and independent bathroom below deck.
But the Pyxis 30 Wa isn’t finished yet…in the bow there is a space you don’t expect with a huge sundeck in front of the console. And, let’s not forget, this boat is walk around, meaning you walk from bow to stern on the same plane, with no impediments, steps, or obstacles.
In short, the Pyxis 30 Wa really says something new in the field of nine meters and there are still many things to discover, visiting it on the dock at our digital boat show.
Axopar 22 Spyder: the 7 meters multi-tasker
The brand new Axopar 22 Spyder (7,22 x 2,23 m) is a boat that lends itself to any use and relies heavily on modularity, in just 7 meters. On deck you can choose three different layouts according to the most suitable one. At the stern there is space for a six-seater U-shaped sofa that also converts into a sun bed. There is also an enclosed toilet in the central part of the console and an extra-large umbrella/bimini.
Axopar 22 Spyder reaches 40 knots driven by the motorization of a 175 hp outboard, but even 115 hp are enough to reach speeds above 30 knots.
